FIRST VIETNAM ANZACS
The first Vietnam ANZACs,, the 1RAR Battle Group, with it's Australian Logistics Support Company arrived in Vietnam a full year before the creation of the Australian Task Force at Nui Dat. Bien Hoa Air Base was home to these first Vietnam ANZACS, who operated alongside their US allies largely in the deadly terrain surrounding Saigon. They endured some of the heaviest ANZAC fighting of the war and the incredible history of these unsung ANZACs inspires awe amongst travelers who take the time to follow in their footsteps down the road less travelled. Our travel experience covers several of the key operational areas, we share our knowledge of the hardships they faced, and pay our respects to the fallen at a key locations.
